YouChoose Consumer Terms of Use
Last updated: 29 September 2026
1. About These Terms
These terms govern your use of YouChoose, a service operated by Vantage Chain Advisory Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under registration number 17246743, London, United Kingdom.
By signing up to the YouChoose waitlist or submitting a purchase specification, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
If you have any questions, contact us at contact@vantagechainadvisory.com.
2. What YouChoose Is
YouChoose is an intermediary service. We connect consumers who want to buy goods with retailers who want to win their business. YouChoose is not a retailer. We do not sell products. We do not hold stock. We do not process payments. We are not a party to any purchase you make through a retailer you find through our service.
YouChoose operates as a reverse auction platform. You tell us what you want to buy and your budget. We share your specification — without your personal details — with registered retailers in the relevant category. Retailers submit their best offers. You review the offers and choose the one that works best for you. If you choose an offer, you complete your purchase directly on the retailer's own website.
YouChoose does not guarantee that you will receive any offers in response to your specification. YouChoose does not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or availability of any offer submitted by a retailer.
3. The YouChoose Trial
YouChoose is currently operating as a closed trial. Participation is by invitation only following sign-up to the YouChoose waitlist. We reserve the right to limit the number of participants, to close the waitlist at any time, and to conclude the trial at any time with reasonable notice to participants.
During the trial, the service is provided free of charge to consumers.
4. Signing Up
To join the YouChoose waitlist you must provide your first name, email address, the product category you are interested in, your approximate budget, and your purchase timeline. You must be at least 18 years old. You must be a resident of the United Kingdom.
You will receive a confirmation email containing a unique referral link. This link is personal to you. You may share it with others to invite them to sign up. Where someone signs up through your link, we record that referral. We do not share their identity with you.
When YouChoose is ready to accept live specifications in your category, you will receive an activation email containing a unique link. Click the link to activate your account. Your first name and email will be pre-populated — you only need to set a password.
If you do not activate your account within 72 hours of receiving your activation email, we will send one follow-up reminder. If you do not activate following the reminder, your waitlist position is retained and we will contact you when we are ready to proceed.
5. Submitting a Specification
Once your account is active, you can submit a purchase specification through your YouChoose dashboard by clicking Create New Demand.
Your specification must include a clear description of what you want to buy, the relevant product category, your maximum budget, your required delivery timeline, and any specific requirements. You may include up to five items in a single specification. Each item will be assigned an individual item reference number connected to your overall demand reference. For example, if your demand reference is YC-2026-001, your items will be referenced as YC-2026-001-01, YC-2026-001-02, and so on. Retailer bids and all communications will reference these item numbers so you can clearly identify which items each bid covers.
Your minimum total basket value is £100. Specifications below this threshold will not be processed.
After submitting your specification, you have 30 minutes to make corrections. Your confirmation email will contain an edit link that remains active for this window. After 30 minutes, your specification is locked and sent to our admin team for review. If you need to make changes after this window, contact us at contact@vantagechainadvisory.com before your specification has been forwarded to retailers.
We review every specification before forwarding it to retailers. We may contact you to ask for clarification if your specification is unclear or if your budget appears inconsistent with the product described. We will not forward your specification to retailers until we are satisfied it is clear and complete.
Your specification is assigned a unique demand reference number at the point of submission in the format YC-YYYY-NNN.
6. How Bids Work
Once your specification is approved and forwarded to retailers, registered retailers in the relevant category have 2 working days to submit a bid. Where your specification includes items across multiple categories, retailers registered in each relevant category will be notified for the items in their category only.
Each bid will include the retailer's name, their offer price, delivery timeframe, delivery cost, any additional terms, the expiry date and time of the offer, and a direct purchase link to the relevant product on the retailer's website.
You will receive an email notification each time a new bid arrives. At the close of the 2-working-day response window, you will receive a summary email listing all bids received and inviting you to log in and review them.
Bids expire at the date and time stated by the retailer. The expiry countdown is visible on each bid card in your dashboard. Once a bid expires, the Choose This Offer button is removed and the bid card is marked as Expired. Expired bids remain visible for your reference.
If no bids are received within the response window, we will notify you and follow up with retailers on your behalf. We cannot guarantee that a second attempt will produce bids.
7. Choosing a Bid
To select a bid, click Choose This Offer on the bid card you prefer. A confirmation prompt will appear. Once you confirm your selection, the bid is locked and cannot be undone.
On confirming your selection, you will see a notification confirming that you are leaving the YouChoose platform and proceeding to the retailer's website. Your demand reference number and item reference numbers will be shown on this screen. Click Continue to proceed to the retailer's website. Click Go Back if you wish to reconsider.
YouChoose is not responsible for the retailer's website, checkout process, pricing, stock availability, or any data you provide to the retailer after leaving our platform.
When you select a retailer's bid, you will be given the option to share your name and email address with that retailer to assist with order processing. This is entirely optional. If you choose to share your details, this is done with your explicit consent at that point and we record that consent with a timestamp. If you choose not to share your details, you will proceed directly to the retailer's website without any personal data being passed through YouChoose. Sharing your contact details does not affect your ability to complete a purchase.
8. Purchases and Retailer Relationships
All purchases are made directly between you and the retailer on the retailer's own website. YouChoose is not a party to that transaction. Your contract for the purchase of any goods is with the retailer, not with YouChoose.
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 apply to your transaction with the retailer. These include your right to a 14-day cooling-off period for distance purchases and your rights in relation to faulty or misdescribed goods. These rights are exercisable against the retailer.
If you experience a problem with your order — for example, the retailer does not make contact within 48 hours of your selection, or your order is not fulfilled as described — contact us at contact@vantagechainadvisory.com. We will do our best to assist but we are not liable for the retailer's failure to perform.
9. Purchase Confirmation
After selecting a bid and completing your purchase on the retailer's website, we will ask you to confirm your purchase within your YouChoose account. In your dashboard, click Confirm Purchase against the relevant demand and select the date of purchase. You may add optional notes about your experience.
Confirming your purchase is optional but appreciated. It helps us track the outcome of your specification and improve the service for all users.
Approximately two weeks after your purchase is confirmed, we may send you a short follow-up email to ask about your experience. Participation is entirely optional.
10. Your Referral Link
Your unique referral link is issued to you on sign-up. You may share this link with others to invite them to sign up to YouChoose. Every person who signs up through your link strengthens the YouChoose buyer pool and our position with retailers.
Your referral link is personal to you and must not be published on commercial websites, affiliate networks, or any platform in a way that could be construed as advertising without our prior written consent.
11. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- 01Submit specifications for goods you do not intend to purchase.
- 02Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent specifications.
- 03Use YouChoose to obtain pricing information for commercial purposes without our consent.
- 04Attempt to identify retailers who submitted bids other than your selected retailer.
- 05Contact retailers other than through the YouChoose platform prior to selecting a bid.
- 06Attempt to circumvent or manipulate the bid process in any way.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms.
12. Our Liability
YouChoose provides its service with reasonable care and skill. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- 01We are not liable for any bids submitted by retailers, including their accuracy, completeness, or availability.
- 02We are not liable for any failure by a retailer to fulfil an order.
- 03We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss arising from your use of YouChoose.
- 04We are not liable for any loss arising from your use of a retailer's website after leaving the YouChoose platform.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
13. Changes to the Service
We may change, suspend, or discontinue the YouChoose service at any time. Where we make material changes, we will give you reasonable notice by email. Your continued use of the service after notice of changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of YouChoose will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
